במשך מאות שנים מידע על אהבה ועל העוצמה שהיא מעניקה היה שמור ונסתר. כל זה הולך להשתנות. אם ברצונך ליצור את החיים אשר חלמת עליהם, המשך לקרוא.
בכל הכנות, הדבר האחרון שרציתי היה להיות סופר, ביחוד סופר הכותב על אהבה. אלמלא העוצמה והיכולת שאהבה נתנה לי כדי ליצור את החיים שרציתי... אפילו לא הייתי שוקל זאת. תוך כדי שימוש באהבה, גיליתי שאני יכול למעשה באופן מיידי ליצור כל דבר שאני רוצה. תוך כדי שימוש באהבה רכשתי יכולת ועוצמה כה אדירה ליצור את מה שחשקתי בו, שאילו לא היתה זו אהבה שבה השתמשתי, הייתי יכול להיבהל. חיי הפכו לאגדה והם מעבר לכל דבר אפשרי שיחלתי לעצמי. אני יודע שזה נשמע כמו הצהרה גדולה. אבל זה לגמרי אמיתי. אפילו לאהובתי, שהיתה בעלת ראש פתוח, אך גם ספקנית, לא היתה אפשרות אלא להאמין, מכיוון שהקסם הוא עניין יומיומי כמעט מעבר למילים. העוצמה שאהבה מעניקה לך, היא אינה בשליטה על אחרים, אלא ביצירת חייך וחוויותיך. הדבר היפה בזה, שנראה שהאהבה נותנת את התוצאות הטובות ביותר עבור כולם בסופו של דבר. אחרי הכל, אם זה לא היה כל כך טוב, זה לא היה נשמר בסוד.
